Construction Meeting Updates – March 28

It may be spring break for campus, but there’s no break in construction for Aztec Student Union! While the rain was unexpected, we’re plugging away on the following:

  • The temporary pedestrian bridge by Manchester Hall will reopen tomorrow after getting a fresh coat of paint and a special “gritty” epoxy that will help keep things from getting slippery. If you want to test it out, just know that you’ll be one of the few people on the Mesa tomorrow, as campus is closed for the Cesar E. Chavez holiday.
  • The concrete crew is busy pouring wall #18 this week. We’re moving on up, folks!
  • Aztec Circle Drive storm drain work is ongoing (and it got a mini test this weekend).
  • Look for Mt. Aztec (and other piles o’ dirt around the project site) to get a makeover as backfill continues as new walls are braced.

Look for new site photos tomorrow via Facebook and Twitter!
