Construction Meeting Updates – March 21

Spring is finally here, and on this summer-like day here’s what we know:

*A somewhat major milestone is scheduled for tomorrow with the pouring of the slab-on grade in Area D of the basement. Yes, it is the basement, but it’s still the first actual walking surface in the new building.

*Work on the storm drain in Aztec Circle Drive began today.

*A pre-cast manhole could be placed in the northeast steam tunnel as early as next week.

*Wall pour #14 is scheduled for tomorrow.

*The temporary pedestrian bridge on the south end of Manchester will shut down for a few days next week during Spring Break. Hopefully it won’t affect too many members of the campus community considering classes won’t be in session. Stay tuned for exact dates of the closure.

It’s hard to post photos when one scribe forgets the camera at home, so until next week…
